Application Procedure

The Patrina Foundation is presently concentrating its funding in the New York Metropolitan area and surrounding counties.

Grants are made exclusively to tax-exempt organizations, with the exception of private foundations. Grantees are primarily educational, cultural, and social service organizations which promote academic, artistic, athletic, and/or life skills and leadership abilities of girls and women.

In general, grants are one year and range from $2,500 to $15,000.  Each grantee must re-apply at the end of each grant cycle and only after submitting a year-end report.  The Foundation does not make grants for general operating support.  It does not fund individuals.

Proposal Requirements : Proposals submitted to the Patrina Foundation online and by mail must include the following:

  • Cover letter
  • Brief proposal (no more than 3 – 5 pages)
  • Program budget
  • Copy of 501(c) (3) status
  • List of Board of Directors
  • Current* and prior year’s financial statements
  • And mail six (6) copies of full proposal

*Current is defined as not older than nine (9) months. Please time applications appropriately to fiscal year end and commencement of program.

Proposals not meeting the above criteria will not be considered.
